FrontierLab Mini Program

We provide international students with opportunities to learn in a research group of Graduate School of Engineering Science within 12 weeks under the close supervision of the faculty, through experiments, peer consulting, group work and interactive discussions.

Crediting:

2 weeks ( 90 hours) 2 credits
4 weeks ( 180 hours) 4 credits
6 weeks ( 270 hours) 6 credits
8 weeks ( 360 hours) 8 credits
10 weeks ( 450 hours) 10 credits
12 weeks ( 540 hours) 12 credits

FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

1.Course study

Lectures in Japanese language are available.

Students will be able to choose and attend specialized subjects offered in Japanese at the School of Engineering Science. Those who are planning to take these specialized subjects in Japanese are required to have a proficient command of the Japanese language. We require an equivalent of a level N2 or higher.

The period of study will be set according to seasonal terms and semesters; i.e. 1 or up to 4 terms, or 1 and/or 2 semesters, and should not exceed one year. Credits are available upon completion.

2.Lab work

FrontierLab Mini Program

In this program, each student will be assigned to a particular research group where they will do research under their supervisor's guidance. The duration of the research is set from 2 to 12 weeks. Credits are available for each period of study.

FrontierLab Flex Program

In this program, we only accept students as groups. The accepted group of students will be assigned to particular research groups where they will conduct research under their supervisor's guidance. The duration of the research is set at 15 or 30 weeks. Credits are available for each period of study. Students are required to make a final presentation of their research at the end of their period of study.
